
Everyone strap your headbands on – old Jimmy Mac is in the news again.
Apparently, the "Gloved Gunslinger" wants to be granted what he feels is his rightful place among the pantheon of Cougar legends in the BYU Hall of Fame. With what Jimbo's daddy-o considers ivory tower arrogance, BYU – which, let us not forget, exists primarily as an institution of higher learning – has denied him this singular glory based on the fact that he neglected to finish his course work and graduate.

Cementing himself as the Vanilla Ice of BYU quarterbacks, Jimmy Headband appeared recently on the Dan Patrick radio show and laid out a case for inclusion in the Legacy Hall built on recollections of run-ins with the Honor Code office.
Come on, Jimmy boy. The administration's position is that you shouldn't be allowed in because you never graduated; you say you should because you flagrantly violated school rules? You employ the old "Contendo Pedarius" argument? Well played, counselor.
For those of you not versed in the nuances of courtroom strategy, this is the "Contendo Pedarius" argument in layman's terms:

Jimbo Holiday Bowl, my sun-spectacled old friend, good luck in your quest. Judging by the level of your arguing acumen, I think you're gonna need the help of Clay Brown to pull this one out . . .
